This page explains how to revoke Meta (Threads/Instagram) access and how to request deletion of data stored by Threadly.
1) In-app action (log out)
Steps
- Open Threadly → Settings → Account
- Tap Log out (you will be taken back to the consent screen next time)
2) Revoke Meta app access (required)
Accounts Center (Threads/Instagram)
- Open Threads (or Instagram) → Profile → Settings & privacy
- Go to Accounts Center → Password and security
- Open Apps and websites
- Find Threadly → Remove (revoke access)
3) What data is deleted
- Account identifiers: Threads/Instagram user ID and username
- Post metrics: Target post IDs and retrieved counts (impressions, likes, replies, reposts, quotes)
- Aggregations: Daily/period metrics (e.g., averages, period-over-period deltas)
- Sync metadata: Last fetch time, cache flags
4) Timing and policy
Default retention: up to 90 days
- Once Meta access revocation is detected, related data is automatically deleted within 90 days.
- Due to backups and cache, full propagation may take up to 24 hours.
5) Need immediate deletion?
You can request immediate deletion by email. Please include:
- Threads username (with @) or user ID
- Note “Immediate deletion request”
- Optional: target period or specific post IDs

We will process within a reasonable time (typically within 7 business days) and notify you by email.6) After deletion you can verify
- Historic metrics/reports no longer appear in Threadly
- Re-login starts from the initial consent screen
- “Threadly” no longer appears under Meta “Apps and websites”
